International company hires employee to grow new market

Lansing, Mich.- Cesar Saldivia, 35, of Lansing, was hired as the first Emerging Markets Manager at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc., the headquarters for the 160 unit franchise.

As an Emerging Markets Manager, Saldivia will work closely with the Licensing and Marketing departments to create an ongoing strategy to attract emerging minority markets, including franchisee prospects, frontline employees, and customers. He will also be responsible for coordinating all diversity related efforts for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise system as well as home office.

“The long term goal of my position is to provide the proper climate to hire, retain, and develop the best talent available regardless of race, gender, nationality,” Saldivia said. “In reaching that goal we expect two outcomes. One, to positively impact the organization’s bottom line, and two, to create a diverse pool of franchisees, employees, customers, suppliers, and partners in general.”

Saldivia was previously a business consultant for the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center. He also was a Spanish professor at Lansing Community College and Michigan State University.

Saldivia, originally from Cumana, Venezuela and youngest of five siblings, lives with his wife Krista, who is a special education teacher at Okemos High School.
