(Lansing, Mich.) – Brig Sorber, president and chief executive officer of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc., recently joined The Michigan Freedom Academy’s 2009 list of individual benefactors. Sorber replaced Mary Ellen Sheets, founder of the international moving franchise.

The Michigan Freedom Academy is a leadership program for high school students entering their junior or senior year. Students attend in order to gain basic skills in leadership and an appreciation for human freedom. The program focuses on education, business, civil government, law enforcement, national defense, drug awareness and the United States Constitution. Students participate in a wide variety of activities, including team building and physical fitness challenges.

The academy is funded by The Michigan Freedom Foundation, a group of benefactors comprised of businesses, military leaders and individuals. Each year, benefactors support the academy with corporate and private contributions. Their funds allow students to attend the academy free of charge.

Along with Sorber’s individual contribution, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has been an academy corporate benefactor for more than 10 years.
