Encouraging a celebration of all moms this Mother’s Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launches its third annual “Movers for Moms™” program this year. The program aims to deliver donated creature comforts to women living in shelters that may not otherwise receive gifts this Mother’s Day.
In partnership with a number of National Heritage Academies (NHA) charter schools and additional K-12 schools across the country, “Movers for Moms” aims to encourage students and community members to donate items for women in need.
The program, originally launched in 2007 as a statewide initiative in Michigan, includes more than 20 TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the state and nearly 18 partnering NHA schools in Michigan.
This year marks the third year for “Movers for Moms” and additional TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations will participate, including White Plains, N.Y., Stamford, Conn., Denver, Colo., Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio.
Last year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® collected more than 6,000 items such as shampoo, slippers and perfumes, and distributed them to local women’s shelters on Mother's Day.
