(Lansing, Mich.) –Barb Dawson, vice president of information technology at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc., has been chosen by Microsoft to chair the new Michigan Chapter of the Dynamics AX User Group. The chapter is one of only 21 user groups worldwide that provide valuable feedback to Microsoft and its current and future Dynamics AX customers.

Microsoft Dynamics AX (formerly Microsoft Axapta) is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution designed for mid-size and larger companies. With core strengths in manufacturing and e-business, there is an additional strong functionality for the wholesale and services industries.

As one of the newest users, with a Dynamics AX implementation on a global level, it made sense to Microsoft to ask a leading Michigan company like TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® to coordinate a state user group.  

“I am excited to kick off this chapter,’’ Dawson said. “AX is used by companies all over Michigan so it’s to our benefit to share resources and advice. It will be an excellent learning opportunity for all of us.” 

AXUG Regional Chapters provide an opportunity for members to gather together to optimize the functionality, flexibility, performance and return on investment offered by Dynamics AX, and to get better results from their AX implementation.

The first Michigan group meeting is Wednesday, Apr. 14, at the corporate headquarters of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Lansing, Mich.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was started in the 1980s. There are franchises in 32 states, Canada and Ireland with more than 200 locations. The company offers moving, packing and unpacking services for homes and businesses. Locations also sell boxes and packing supplies.
