TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® participates in "Kids Can" food drive

Sacramento, Calif.--For the 18th consecutive year, local stations KCRA 3 and KQCA 58, along with local schools, will present “Kids Can,” the largest “student-powered” food drive in Northern California. For the program, students in the community collect canned food during the holiday season for local food banks. In 2003, over 200,000 students from 12 different counties and 306 area schools collected an incredible 218 tons of canned and non-perishable food items.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® located in Rancho Cordova, is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s event. As one of the company’s core values, “Giving Back To The Community” is a central theme in the daily business practices of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. Says local Manager Chad Arnold, “At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, we take pleasure in giving back to the communities in which we do business and are fortunate to have the resources available—such as trucks—that can be helpful in many instances.” TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will deliver containers for the canned goods to be collected and drop them off for distribution at the conclusion of the program.

The “Kids Can” campaign aims to encourage youth to volunteer and stresses the importance of community involvement. Many participating schools are rewarded with prizes that recognize their significant contributions.

Started as an after-school endeavor for two high school boys, the Michigan-based TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise system has grown to become the fifth-largest moving company in the United States with 141 locations and more than 951 trucks on the road. Its mission is: “to continuously strive to exceed customer’s expectations.” For more information, please visit www.twomenandatruck.com.
